Sephora S/S '18 Showcase

Hello Friends! I have just returned from a short trip to Japan (expect a travel blog soon). Once we landed, we rushed home for me to have a quick change of clothes for one of the most exciting beauty events for the first quarter of 2018! Be prepared for much makeup and skincare porn! Most of the photos are taken by me (the ones with my watermark) and I have included a few from the press kit. Thank to Sephora and Onedaydream PR for having me at this fabulous event!

This time, it was held at the lovely location of The Mint in Sydney. We were limited to 1 hour and so I had to rush through and take as many photos as I could. You can also see some of the Instastories I managed to film on the day, on my highlights on my instagram (go here @teacupofmakeup).

I will talk about each range in more detail once I have received the products for review.

I felt that there was an emphasis on skincare over colour products. The first thing we saw was the Skincare Bar. So that is where we will start, with Skincare!

ALL ABOUT SKINCARE

Who's excited about Boscia? I am!

Caolion and Clinique have some very exciting products coming!

I was blown away by SkinInc. They have a multi led light gadget and the most amazing Oxy-recharge Bubble Mask!

With SkinInc, you can even customise your skin serum and choose a bottle design that you like!

A new and exciting brand coming to Sephora is Yuni! I like the whole "yoga" feel to it. They even have Shower Sheets! That's the founder there above Emmanuel Ray.

There are so many very interesting skin care products! Look at the Wei mask set above! It is gorgeous!

As you might know, I have an extreme fondness for Murad Skincare. It is all about connected beauty and I feel like Murad's team really care about their customers. I've been blessed to get to know Emma Hindmarsh from Murad and she has been giving me so much good advice about the cystic acne on my jaw line caused by a side effect from the many medications I am on.

Stay tuned for more on the effective and innovative new products from Murad.

I think it is so exciting that Sephora is making Laneige (a popular Korean brand) available to us in Australia. Laneige offers skincare and colour cosmetics.

The famous Laneige cushion foundations. Did you know that Korea holds the international patent for cushion foundations? That's why almost all cushion foundations are made in Korea.

I do love Farmacy and was able to meet their founder last year. I have been testing their products and so will have a separate dedicated post on Farmacy.

I'm excited to try the masks and cleansing balm from Farmacy!

I first discovered Arcona a few years back and am obsessed with their cranberry pads.

The lovely Bite Beauty was there too! See my blog post on Bite Beauty (click here).

How FAB is First Aid Beauty?? This is skincare that I have tried and tested and that I absolutely do recommend. Stay tuned for a separate dedicated blog post on this one. I attended the lovely FAB event held on the Island last week and it was a blast to learn all about their new products!

I'm super excited about the Coconut Water Cream and Ginger Turmeric Vitamin C Mask!

Of course, no event is complete without It Cosmetics! I'm a huge fan of their founder Jamie Kern. I can't wait to try the new Bye Bye products!

Peter Thomas Roth has so many new products that I want to try. I will also do a separate post on them!

Another famous Korean brand. This time Dr Jart+ was focusing on hydrating products.

ALL ABOUT HAIRCARE

They had a fabulous hair bar where we could get a quick hair fix and try out the new products!

How cool does IGK look? A USA brand, they have innovative hair care with hair shampoo tissues and smoothing hair wipes.

Ahhh my beloved Ouai! Ouai has also introduced anti-frizz smoothing sheets and a memory mist.

New to Australia is Drybar. Drybar is famous in the USA for their hair salons where they do the most fabulous blow drys. They also carry some really cool hair care products like the mini Tress Press above.

Drybar even offers a silk pillow case called "Slumber Party". How adorable!

ALL ABOUT FRAGRANCES

I was super extended to get to the Nest Fragrances stand. The new "Wisteria Blue" is gorgeous! When Laura Slatkin messaged me about sourcing Wisteria in Australia, I had no idea she was creating a new fragrance.

I had to include a shot of Laura Slatkin's mood board for Wisteria Blue. Laura Slatkin, the founder of Nest Fragrances is such a huge inspiration for me.

"Wisteria Blue" will definitely be a hit this year. I saw blissful walks in Spring, afternoon tea with the girls and pretty lace dresses when I smelled this. She is an aquatic floral eau de parfum, combines delicate notes of Fresh wisteria blended with the essence of Bulgarian rose, imperial jasmine and fresh watery nuances. If I was given only one word to describe "Wisteria Blue", it would have to be the word "Bliss".

I am a HUGE fan of Commodity fragrances. You might have seen my many posts on this brand. IT IS UBER COOL. They have now expanded their line to include triple milled vegetable based bath bars and candles. Each scent is unisex and can be layered to create your own fragrance cocktail.

Two new scents that they are launching in Spring 2018 is Velvet and Nectar.

Velvet is a mysterious and elegant scent that blends Roasted Almond, Rose Petals and Black Amber to evoke a feeling of pure indulgence - like smooth velvet brushing against bare skin. Commodity's essential Rose Oil is distilled from Rosa Damascena sustainably sourced from local farmers in Turkey. In order to yield the highest quality essence the Turkish farmers harvest the roses at sunrise with the petals are fresh with morning dew.

Nectar is a luminous and vibrant scent that blends sparkling citrus fruits with freshly picked neroli. Juicy Pomelo and Tangerine are blended with Neroli Oil and Honeysuckle for a zesty effect. Commodity uses sustainably sourced Neroli Oil from Tunisia which is derived from Orange Blossoms that are hand-picked from the Bitter Orange Tree during the peak of the midday sun. The blossoms are steam distilled to produce an exquisitely pure oil.

ALL ABOUT COLOUR

There were so many drool worthy products from Tarte Cosmetics that I didn't know where to start!!! This is their new Park Ave Princess palette. More on this to come!

Park Avenue Princess, repackaged and in the same fabulous formula!

OMFG right?? Rainforest of the Sea™ foil finger paints shadow palette.

Boasting skin-loving antioxidants from the tarte's Rainforest of the Sea complex, this glitzy eyeshadow palette contains three richly foiled and two sheer sparkling shades that can be worn alone or layered on other shadows.

Oh Zoeva!! How beautiful you are! Great pigmentation and performance. Expect more palettes and brush sets. They are also expanding their line of lip colours and strobe gels.

Isn't this pretty??

As you all know, I collect Givenchy Beauty. I can't wait to try their new lip glosses. Givenchy ALWAYS performs so well.

HOW GORGEOUS IS THIS PALETTE????

YOU HAVE TO TRY THESE! Marc Beauty's latest offering is an innovative liquid lipstick in the form of a crayon. How they did it, I don't know. This is full coverage liquid lipsticks in an easy to use format. There is no need for a lip pencil.

Yes, I did ask very politely for the giant Marc Lipstick. Here's to wishing hey?

New Studded Lipsticks from Kat Von D. Expect a richer creamier smoother formula in a huge number of shades. The addition of the white lipstick in the range is super cool. You can mix your own shades.

The QUEEN OF STYLE, Jeanne Chavez was there! I had such a lovely time catching up with her. Smith & Cult is expanding their collection to include more products like foundations. There are up to 60 new products that we can expect this year. I'm super excited. As you know, I am OCD about Smith & Cult. Expect a Youtube video in this brand from me!

Gahhh, can I have it all please? Smith & Cult's packaging is the very definition of cool. The performance of their nail polishes has NEVER let me down.

I love the pigmentation and performance of the powder products. I can't wait to try more lip products too!

Nudestix is a girl's best friend. Their easy to use pencil kits are so rich and smooth. They have included three new roller liners to the collection. I tried them out and they last and last. LOVE at first swatch!

Sephora's own line of colour cosmetics are very good. I was blown away by how smooth and pigmented the lipsticks are. How cute are the Story Lipsticks?

I can't quite remember if there are going to be 200 or 300 shades in the liquid lipsticks. These are long wear and non-drying.

Becca is introducing a whole range of under eye correctors and setting powders. I'll talk more about them in a separate post. Let's just sit back and stare at these gorgeous new products. The palettes are amazing, beautiful and oh so shiny! Just the way I like them!

I have one palette from Natasha Denona and I can say the quality is heavenly. Expect true opaque pigmentation that blends perfectly. There were so many new products like the eye toppers that my eyes were blinded by the beauty of it all.

Yes, YES, YESSSSS!! How beautiful is this face palette??

CoverFx carries some of my favourite foundations, primers and powders. This year, the emphasis was on their colour products: the Shimmer Veils and the Glitter Drops. 100% cruelty-free and vegan, CoverFx brings on the shine with this products that you can use on the eyes, face and lips. I left covered in glitter goodness!
