Today, I'm sharing a Fragrance Story on a delightful edition to Marc Jacobs Fragrances Daisy range, the Limited Edition Daisy Eau So Fresh Skies.
What Marc Jacobs Fragrances says about Eau So Fresh Skies:
"Refreshing. Blissful. Serene. Inspired by the blue open sky and warm rays of sunshine, Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh Skies Eau de Toilette for women is a radiant floral perfume featuring an harmonious blend of blue tea, yellow chamomile, and violet creating an elegant herbal opening, balanced with the creamy softness of cedarwood." "Daisy Eau So Fresh Skies by Marc Jacobs is a fragrance for women. This is a new fragrance. Daisy Eau So Fresh Skies was launched in 2021. The nose behind this fragrance is Alberto Morillas. Top notes are Tea, Gooseberry and Grapefruit; middle notes are Chamomile, Broom and Violet; base notes are Cedar, Tea Tree Oil and Musk." (source link)
In Australia, Eau So Fresh Skies retails at @myer; @davidjonesstore; @adorebeauty and @theiconicau for a current retail value of AUD110 for 75ml.
My Thoughts on Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh Skies:
The Bottle: Of course I love the design!! When the original Daisy fragrances were released, they set a standard for packaging. There has been many copies or versions of the iconic Daisy topper with the flowers.
Daisy Eau So Fresh Skies comes in a blue tinted glass bottle, with a round metal covered plastic top. The top is adorned in the iconic Marc Jacobs' Daisies in a varierty of colours, from yellow to blue, and some are translucent as well. The "daisies" are movable - meaning you can spin them around.
The Scent: Fresh, fruity, floral and very soothing/calming. The Top notes are Tea, Gooseberry and Grapefruit; middle notes are Camomile, Broom and Violet; base notes are Cedar, Tea Tree Oil and Musk. The camomile comes through fairly quickly and I think that's why I almost immediately felt that this scent was soothing. Another note that I am most familiar with is Tea Tree Oil, this gives it a minty freshness.
The Dry Down: Lovely, as the violet, cedar, musk and camomile notes come through, this dries down to a very lovely fragrance.
The Tastes: Hmmm... hard to say, a bit like camomile tea with spearmint.
The Colours: Definitely light tones of baby blues and yellos.
The Feelings: Both elated and calm at the same time. This is a very refreshing and soothing scent. Both aspects have been so well balanced.
The Wear Time: Extremely good for an EDT. This lasted for almost the whole day. I applied it in the morning and I could still detect the fragrance at night at around 7pmish.
Suggested occasions to wear this: All day every day. This should be a widely appealing fragrance. It is not a sweet scent but one that is more balanced between its refreshing and soothing notes.
Overall: I love it, so I am giving it a 10/10. I love how it is both refreshing and soothing as well. I tend to gravitate towards soothing fragrances.
The Original Daisy Eau So Fresh is more floral and sweeter than this limited edition Daisy Eau So Fresh Skies. I think if you already have the Original, there is enough of a difference between the two to warrant you purchasing the Limited Edition Skies version.
Love the pretty box it comes in. So cheerful yet calming.
