Jo Malone London Wild Bluebell Limited Edition

Jo Malone London describes Wild Bluebell as:

"Vibrant sapphire blooms in a shaded woodland. The delicate sweetness of dewy bluebells suffused with lily of the valley and eglantine, and a luscious twist of persimmon. Mesmerising." (source link)

  • Top Note: Bluebell. This fresh and green accord captures the subtle yet addictive scent of the bluebell.

  • Heart Note: Persimmon. Persimmon has a milky-peach flavour with zest orange tones.

  • Base Note: White Musk. Creamy Musk adds a light, earthy and woody sensuality to the composition.

You are probably wondering why I photographed them with blueberries. The simple answer was that the composition of the fragrance reminded me immediately of juicy succulent blueberries!

My Thoughts on Jo Malone London Wild Bluebell:

The Bottle: I love it when Jo Malone releases classic faves in limited edition packaging. For collectors and fragrance lovers like me, the limited edition packaging is covetable and alluring. Further, the blue bottle theme, adds more to my feelings towards the fragrance and enhances the whole olfactory experience by adding a visual twist.

The Scent: Juicy fresh blueberries. The combination of the notes smells like that to me. As it develops further, I can detect the cloves, jasmine, and musk tones. This is a very likeable fragrance. It works well as a Unisex fragrance. It gets even more alluring as it develops more into the base notes.

Frangrantica describes the notes as:

Top notes: bluebell and cloves

Heart: lily of the valley, jasmine, rose hip

Base: white amber and musk

The Dry Down: As mentioned above, as it dries down to the heart and base notes, it becomes more alluring. It becomes more floral green and the clove and musk add depth and spiciness.

The Tastes: When I first smelt it, I tasted juicy ripe blueberries. As it develops, you get a bit of spice from the cloves and honey from the amber.

The Colours: OH! Blue for sure. A rich jewel blue.

The Feelings: Feelings of joy and gratefulness. This is a very welcoming and calming fragrance. It makes me feel cozy.

The Wear Time: 3-5 hours. That is a very good wear time for a cologne.

Suggested occasions to wear this: Everyday. This is not an obtuse or dramatic fragrance. It is unisex and gentle on the nose - none of those "in your face" vibes coming through on this lovely fragrance.

Overall: A classic restyled. If you haven't tried Jo Malone London Wild Bluebell and you like floral green fruity fragrances that smell like blueberries then this is for you. Especially when it is Unisex and can be shared with your partner (regardless of gender).

Jo Malone London Wild Bluebell Limited Edition Diffuser

Jo Malone describes it as: "Fill the home with the delicacy of spring. Luminous sapphire flowers blooming in a shaded, secluded woodland. In a special collector’s edition design. Includes 10 rattan reeds to release scent continuously. For optimum effect use all 10 simultaneously."

My Thoughts on Jo Malone London Wild Bluebell Limited Edition Diffuser:

The Bottle: Gorgeous! I love the minimalistic design of Jo Malone Diffusers!

The Scent: It has the same notes as the cologne.

I also got that "blueberry" sensation from it.

The Throw: Excellent if you use all 10 reeds (it comes with 10). With all 10 reeds, I could smell it faintly from my second floor - I have it in my living room on the first floor. If you want a more subtle effect, just reduce the number of reeds used.

The Feelings: As with the cologne, very pleasant, calming and welcoming. It gives me cozy sweet happy vibes.

Overall: I highly rate Jo Malone Home Fragrances for their longevity and throw. They may be pricey, but you are paying for the high quality.
