Hello! I can't believe it is almost Christmas! How are you getting on with your Christmas shopping? Last week, I had the pleasure of viewing this year's Jo Malone Holiday Collection at the Jo Malone Boutique in Woollahra, Sydney. The store is at Jo Malone London, 110 Queen St, Woollahra NSW 2025 (Phone: (02) 9362 5555). If you are not quite into the Christmas mood yet, I highly recommend you visit the store.
I've always associated Christmas with the U.K., I don't know why but having spent 2 Christmases there, I just love how the English really get into celebrating the Holiday Season. A White Christmas is so magical.
This year, Jo Malone's Holiday Collection is themed "All that Sparkles". The collection is extremely lovely.

I love the font that they used to engrave my initials. Isn't it grand?
This is "White Moss & Snowdrop" (100ml A$198). Can there be a more "chrismassy" name to it? Overall, I LOVE this Fragrance. When I first tested it, my mind was filled with a snowy landscape filled with pine tress and iridescent bubbles. To me, it has a gossamer light feel to it, almost like fairy-wings. It has many colours.
The notes are:
Top Note - cardamom
Heart Note - snowdrop
Base note - white moss
I love the smell and taste of cardamom, at once spicy, green and sweet not quite "nutmeggy" but it does lend this gorgeous fragrance a bit of that edge. The snowdrop, if you have ever had the pleasure of seeing and smelling one, imparts a very delicate scent. Ethereal.
The earthiness and otherwise fresh and green scent enhances the Top and Heart Notes.
This SMELLS of Christmas. A really lovely addition to any person's fragrance collection.
The other ones I tried in-store are also brilliant. They are online exclusive ones though.
On the left above you see the gorgeous limited edition English Pear and Freesia (one of my person faves) and on the left "Ginger Biscuit".
I found "Ginger Biscuit" to be absolutely delightful. It smells just like a very fancy ginger bread biscuit with vanilla icing.
The notes are:

Now, how could you resist NOT having this gorgeous Christmas ornament on your tree?? Even if you don't have a tree, it makes a very festive decoration, Be extravagant and deck the halls with heaps of this. Your guests can then pick one as they leave! They retails for A$45 and are filled with Wood Sage & Sea Salt Cologne and Englus Pear $ Freesia Body Creme.
I did a bit of Christmas shopping while I was at the Jo Malone Boutique and picked up the following two items for friends.
The Cologne Intense Collection
I've yet to try one of Jo Malone's Cologne Intense Fragrances and was immediately drawn to this one. At A$220, it represents incredible value. Each bottle is 9ml and you get the following fragrances:
Tuberose Angelica,
new Jasmine Sambac & Marigold;
Velvet Rose & Oud;
Myrrh & Tonka; and
Oud & Bergamot.
As you know, Jo Malone Fragrances were created to be layered, so imagine how many unique fragrances you can create from this gorgeous set. In the slide show above, you can also see the limited edition box it comes in.
The Cologne Intense range is slightly more expensive than the original range, so this is a lovely present for all Fragrance lovers who have yet to delve into the magical world of Jo Malone.
What's Christmas without candles??? This is the Christmas Miniature Candle Collection (retails for A$127 for 5 x 35g candles).
I bought this set for my dearest friend who has had quite a dark year. A bit of cliche gift but I think this set is delightful and carries with it my intended message.
Left unlit, each one does impart a glorious scent that fills the room.
I can hardly wait for my friend to light them all up and have her house smell simply delightful.
