Felt like documenting what I wore to AAFW 2022 on paintbytashijadebell.com, so please indulge me!
I wanted something that I would be super comfortable in and this oversized sweater dress from Lazy Oaf which is an indie brand from the U.K.
My sandals were also by Lazy Oaf (in collaboration with Melissa). I paired those with knee-high rainbow socks I got from Amazon.
My bucket hat was also from Lazy Oaf!
I wore my Chanel Blue horizontal Boy Bag that i bought a few years and for accessories, I wore a Harry Style inspired bauble necklace I bought off Etsy.
Makeup was quick and easy. I used mostly Kosas for this look (with the Revealer Concealer as my base) and for the eyes, I used Charlotte Tilbury Eye Colour Magic Liner Duo in Super Blue. I was also wearing contact from Dimple Colour.
For brows, I used Kosas Air Brow Fluff & Hold Treatment Gel and Brow Pop Dual-Action Defining Pencil. For the rest of AAFW, I would alternate between the Kosas brow products and Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Freeze Brow Styling Wax and Brow Wiz.
I used NYX Professional Makeup Plump Finish Setting Spray as a primer and a setting spray. I would use this NYX one and alternate it with Real Techniques Satin Finish Extender setting spray and Caudalie's Beauty Elixir for all of AAFW.
For AAFW, I had to support Australian Fashion and so for Day Two, I wore this gorgeous Diffuse N Disperse Long Dress from Gorman. It is a classic long dress with a slip included. The patterns are so "Australian".
My necklace was the same as Day One, a Harry Styles necklace from Etsy. This would be what I would wear for most of the week. I found this necklace to be so comforting for some reason.
I used the same Chanel Blue Horizontal Boy Bag.
Day Three was super busy for me as I was doing on-the-spot and backstage interviews. So I wanted a super comfy outfit.
I wore an oversized shirt dress by Romance was Born - the Humble Pie Patchwork shirt dress; a crochet knit "Suzie Knit" by local brand Ghanda; faux leather pants (an oldie) and rain boots from Merry People
I had my limited edition Chanel waist bag and all of my recording gear was packed in a Sephora bag with wheels that I was gifted ages ago. I also wore a fluffy hat and/or a beanie (i would switch).
For makeup, I wanted something bright to match my colourful outfit. So I went with Norvina Cosmetics Pro Palette 1 and for lips I used KVD Beauty's Epic Kiss Nourishing Vegan Butter Lipstick in "Fine Thank You". For my base, I used LANCÔME Teint Idole Ultra Wear Foundation; Clio's Pro Blusher Palette. i also used Ardell's ECOlashes (i basically only wore Ardell's Eco Lashes all AAFW). I changed my lip colour to "Pia" by Trinny London later in the day.
On Day Four, i wore a rainbow skirt by Gorman and a old pink jacket top by ASOS White. I did change my earring later on but I wore a pair of link earrings by Deux Earrings (a local small business). At night, I changed into statement Rainbow Fringe Earrings by Romance Was Born. My silver sneakers were also from ASOS.
For makeup, I wanted a really bright and colourful look, so I used About Face Beauty's Matte Fluid Eye Paints in various shades. I was going for the statement eye look. For lips, I used Kosas Lip Oil in "Dip". Lashes were also Ardell's Eco Lashes.
I used my Chanel Waist Bag - it was a limited edition one.
For Closing Night and the After Party; I chose local designer Leo Lin. I wore the Romantica Galaxy Open Back Dress.
I wish I wore higher heels to suit the long silhouette. I wore an old pair of gold flat boots instead.
For accessories, I had my limited edition Chanel Gabrielle Hobo Bag in Anaconda skin. For earrings, i wore the Heart Rainbow Drop Earrings by Romance Was Born.
For my base, I used LANCÔME Teint Idole Ultra Wear Foundation; Clio's Pro Blusher Palette. For the eyes, I went with Pat Mcgrath's Mothership V: Bronze Seduction and CJP Beauty's gold glitter from their Glitter Palette. Lashes were Ardell's Demi Wispies.
